"The virtue of a camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking."

NYE Winery Wedding

When Melody and Torry got the call to tell them that Torry's work would be taking him to the Middle East for a year, they decided to fast forward their plans and get married before he left. This allowed about 2 1/2 weeks to get everything from the dress, location, and decorations, to the cake and photographer! I had met Melody and Torry and their adorable son, Xander, when doing some family photos for their family earlier this fall. I was honored when Melody called me again to see if I would be available to capture their wedding day!

You never would have guessed that they had put their special day together in a matter of weeks. The decorations were beautiful, the cake was simple and delicious, Melody was a beautiful bride and Torry was a handsome groom! Even though we had a small delay because of the tornado warnings and everyone had to leave the upstairs of the winery and proceed to the basement for a little while, the mood was happy and fun. Vows were exchanged to the view of grey skies and a downpour from the windows, and I later learned that Melody and Torry love stormy days- how perfect! We were even able to get outside and have a few photos once the storm blew over!
