"The virtue of a camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking."

Last senior of the season

This young man was my last senior session of the season.... it feels crazy to even say that, since I never imagined that I would even photograph a senior.... this year was my first time, and I did four! It was, surprisingly, a lot of fun, and I hope to get a few more senior session for next year!

We had to bump this session twice because of rotten weather... once for wind, the next time for cold and rain, so, on our third attempt, we made it work! It was a little chilly out in the wind when we got started, but we pushed thru and it wasn't too bad by the end. These are just a handful of the images we got that day, he was such a natural and just fell into place, it made my job easy! There's a few that I think really turned out awesome, but I'm going to let he and his mom see them first before I post them for the rest of the world to look at... meanwhile, here's a sampling of what we got:

Senior Session

We had a great time on this senior session! We went to one of my new favorite locations, and she brought some fun props along, so we had plenty to work with! I love how we captured her love of reading, and her love of Ski -what Clinton County high school student doesn't love Ski?!?! There's so many more shots to go thru, it is going to be tough to narrow them down!

Senior '12

It didn't take long to get warmed up, and this young man and I had a great time with photos once we got going with his session. His Mom was interested in some nontraditional sports photos, since those have already been done at school, and I am so thrilled with what we came up with! We were racing against the clock and the sunset, but it worked out just fine and he did a GREAT job! We got lots of great photos right in the family's backyard, and went to a neighboring town for some additional scenery. He's going to have a lot of images to choose from, it was totally worth getting my legs soaked on the soccer field and hiking thru highway construction!

Senior Session

I couldn't have asked for better lighting for this senior session! It was bright, but totally overcast, there was a slight breeze, and it was right about 70 degrees. She's such a lovely young lady!
